We, Jankees and Ico, did our graduation together and created a multitouch table that helps the user during a brainstorm session through intelligent software and previous brainstorms. Could this be helpful? Or is it actually inhibiting one’s creativity?
Recent research has shown that individual brainstorming is better than a group brainstorm. But one single person’s reference frame is smaller than a group’s. The ideal situation would be a combination a collective reference frame and individual brainstorming. We ask the question how information that is available through the internet can be use to enlarge the own reference frame.
Using a table with intelligent software that connects information from different sources, we try to answer this question. At the same time we try to make the user aware of the value of one’s own creativity and reference frame versus the common information of the internet.
Here is a small video demonstrating the user interface.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday the brainstorm table is shown at Electron, Breda.
Come and get some free stickers
Really impressive guys!
thought this was one of the best projects shown at electron, ofcourse not as good as jeroen en timo’s one.
lol
Wouldn’t it be possible to make this software open source? I would like to try this and see if it would actually work effectively. I think it could be helpful
We are thinking about that. But right now we don’t have enough time to finish it. If you are interested send me an email, jankees [at] base42 [dot] nl
There is a working prototype in Flash.
Kind regards,
