Vincent: No man, they got the metric system. They wouldn’t know what the fuck a Quarter Pounder is.

America, Liberia and Myanmar are the only three countries in the world that are not using the metric system. And apparently I’m not the only one who thinks this is a little bit silly. Amy Wang made it her mission to convert America and called it ‘Ametrica’. She earned herself an Adobe design achievement award in 2006 with this righteous cause.

The ingenious thing about her campaign is that she explains the metric system by using everyday situations, not just by comparing them with customary units.
